When I look back on this year, I keep coming back to the same thing. Claims document processing tasks are getting more complex, and the professionals handling them cannot keep pace with the changing ecosystem. At Wisedocs, our mission was born out of the belief that overworked and overburdened claims professionals deserve the clarity and confidence that AI solutions bring to every decision. This past year I spent a lot of time with teams across the insurance industry, and the message I kept hearing was clear. They want technology designed to understand the realities seen each day in claims. Rising workloads. Messy documentation. Pressure to get it right. In light of the high-stakes sector of claims and legal and rising regulations, many in the field are seeking support that keeps human judgment at the center.
This shift and demand shaped our progress at Wisedocs throughout the year. Around 84% of U.S. health insurers now use AI or machine learning in some capacity in their workflows, and organizations are no longer asking if they should adopt AI. The question now is how to do it responsibly and in a way that is audit-ready among regulatory shifts and real demands.
With this sentiment ringing true, this past year our focus stayed on building platforms made to bring guidance to the front and help adjusters and claims professionals make confident decisions they can stand behind.
As we close out 2025, I feel grateful for the momentum we built together. This year gave us a strong foundation for what comes next in 2026 and I’m thrilled to take a look back at all we accomplished as a team here at Wisedocs.
Reflecting on the past year I felt proud to see our team recognized for the care they put into every part of our work, day in, day out. As a testament to our team’s enduring effort, Wisedocs was recently named on the Fintech Global Insurtech 100 List, earned a Great Place to Work certification for the fourth consecutive year, and was named one of the Best Workplaces for Startups. At the Global Insurtech Awards, we also received the recognition of Best Data Solutions Provider along with a Highly Commended mention for Best B2B Insurtech.
These acknowledgments reflected not only on the dedicated work our team is committed to, but also the trust our customers continue to place in Wisedocs for their AI-driven medical record reviews. Wisedocs was also honored by FoundersBeta, being named among the Top 100 Companies to Watch in 2025, as well as Canada’s Top Companies to Watch in 2025, and we’re happy to share our co-founder Jenna Earnshaw was honoured by Toast on their Top 20 Women in Tech list . Every one of these moments showed me, again, how intentionally and purposefully this team approaches the work with our shared mission in mind.

The growth we saw from customers this year was a clear sign that the industry is embracing AI designed with accuracy, transparency, and expert oversight at its core. Forming partnerships with enterprise organizations like KEMI and HRSA was a meaningful milestone for us this year. We continued to see strong traction with carriers, state funds, federal agencies, and defense firms, and the pace of adoption hasn’t slowed. Among legal professionals in the U.S., the adoption of AI has surged from around 22% in 2024 to roughly 80% in 2025. The growing demand for technology that brings structure to complex claims work became even more evident this year and reaffirmed that we’re moving in the right direction at Wisedocs.
The interest from large enterprise groups pushed us to take our next step. We opened a Washington DC office to reinforce long-term growth and to stay connected to the organizations guiding the future of claims, signalling a significant milestone in Wisedocs’ continued growth across North America.
One of my favorite parts of this period was spending time alongside leaders who are shaping the path ahead. With Wisedocs being a finalist in Guidewire’s InsurPitch Toronto event and joining the Battle of the Best: Pitch Off as a global top 3 finalist in Las Vegas created opportunities for honest conversations about how AI is actually being used in the field. Our presence at C100 Toronto Tech Week added another meaningful touchpoint with Canadian insurance and tech leaders that we’re eager to continue into 2026.
Given the momentum and the consistency of what we heard across the industry, we wanted to document those reflections and carry the conversation forward. At ITC Vegas this year Wisedocs filmed a real-time market sentiment video series that captured what people were genuinely thinking when it came to trust in AI. Hearing candid feedback at that level on the floor reminded me why staying close to teams is so important. Adding human oversight to AI outputs leads to nearly a 4x increase in trust among claims professionals, and moments like these reinforce why that matters. The insights from those discussions continue to guide how we build and we’re excited to share the video survey in the coming months.

As we continued listening to what claims teams were telling us this year, it became clear that building confidence in AI would be just as important as building the technology itself. Due to this, our thought leadership during this phase felt grounded in the reality of what claims professionals are facing. Wisedocs’ recently released survey report: AI in claims and the 4x trust effect of human oversight, run in partnership with PropertyCasualty360, offered a clear picture of how teams are approaching automation in claims and where confidence is rising — and lagging. It sparked useful talks about practical use in day to day claims settings and outlined where trust is still needed.

To share the results with our audience, Wisedocs hosted four high-impact webinars that gathered experts who not only understand the daily pressures of claims work, but who see the value in modernizing the process to benefit all those involved. We covered:
Each thought-provoking session provided space for real discussion with people who know the stakes. We welcome anyone interested in these topics to register for the on-demand sessions now and get their insights straight to your inbox.
While we were out in the market hearing directly from carriers and claims teams, we were also focused on building — putting the right foundations in place to support them and set up a successful 2026. Our product direction this year centered on assisting claims staff in creating transparent, steadier workflows. We introduced the Wisedocs Intelligence Engine to help teams process large claim files in hours with a wider set of document models and continued specialist verification. The goal was simple. Give users guidance they can rely on. Up to 8x faster page processing cuts turnaround times by up to 80% while preserving accuracy and compliance.
At ITC 2025, Wisedocs also unveiled important updates for enterprise-ready claims intelligence, including our modernized claims architecture for enterprise use, consistent and configurable Case Reports, and expanded ways to surface insights across full claim portfolios with Cross-Case Insights. Grounding ourselves back in the core of our platform, our Wise Product Picks series helped ensure customers stayed connected to what we were building throughout the year. And as we look ahead, 2026 is already off to a strong start with early progress on advanced document sharing and expanded cross-case capabilities.
As I look toward 2026, I feel genuinely inspired. The pace of change across the industry is accelerating, and teams are beginning to experience the real benefits of AI-driven workflows. The hesitation is giving way to understanding, and with that shift, the opportunities are expanding. As the year comes to a close I see a steady shift in how professionals talk when it comes to AI and it’s never been more evident that exciting change is coming. They want clarity, reliability and AI solutions that respect the nuance of claims work and support trusted, defensible decisions. At Wisedocs, our commitment remains the same. We aim to empower individuals’ lives by revolutionizing the claims ecosystem for those that need a voice, autonomy, and support — and 2026 is just the beginning.
As a final note, I want to thank our customers, partners, and the Wisedocs team. Your dedication and collaboration are the reason we made the progress we did this year. I’m excited — and confident — about what we’ll build together in 2026.
