Wisedocs is thrilled to announce that Mehmet Shah is joining our team as Chief Financial Officer. With extensive financial leadership experience and proven results scaling high-growth B2B technology companies, Mehmet brings the strategic expertise and operational discipline needed to accelerate Wisedocs’ growth trajectory as we head into 2026.
Mehmet Shah joins Wisedocs following his impressive tenure at StackAdapt, where he served as CFO and helped solidify the company as one of Canada’s most successful startups. During his seven-year journey, Mehmet scaled the finance team to 60+ professionals, led a $300 million secondary capital raise, saw the company workforce grow to 1,200 people and achieved a 4,000% increase in revenue while preparing the organization for IPO-readiness via complex governance frameworks and enterprise risk management systems.
A seasoned executive with CPA, CA, and CFA credentials, Mehmet has demonstrated mastery across all areas of modern finance leadership. Spearheading international expansion and implementing integrated financial systems, Mehmet has deep experience reducing month-end closing time while developing a sophisticated KPI infrastructure to guide successful executive decision-making.
“After an incredible journey helping scale my previous organization into one of Canada’s most successful startups, I’m excited to bring that experience to a growing company that’s solving real problems for real people.” - Mehmet Shah, Wisedocs Chief Financial Officer
Mehmet’s appointment comes at an important moment for Wisedocs and the broader insurtech ecosystem. The global AI insurance market is projected to grow from $19.6 billion in 2025 to $26.3 billion in 2026 and forecasted to reach $114.52 billion by 2031 at 34.20% CAGR over 2026-2031. As claims organizations increasingly adopt AI medical record review and AI medical chronology solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy, the need for financial leadership that can navigate rapid scaling becomes paramount.
Research shows that fewer than one in 10 high-growth startups successfully scale beyond $100 million in revenue, with financial discipline and strategic resource allocation cited as key differentiators. Mehmet’s expertise in building scalable financial operations, optimizing performance metrics, and maintaining governance during hypergrowth positions Wisedocs to navigate this transition effectively.
His foundation in public accounting with KPMG Canada provides the technical rigor essential for maintaining financial integrity as we scale. This combination of training and startup finance leadership creates a unique skillset that perfectly aligns with Wisedocs’ current stage and future growth plans.
“Mehmet’s onboarding represents a significant milestone in our growth journey,” says Co-Founder and CEO Connor Atchison. “His ability to build world-class finance organizations and drive authentic strategic partnerships will be invaluable as we scale our operations to serve more customers and expand into new markets. We’re confident that Mehmet’s leadership will strengthen our foundation for sustainable, long-term growth. Mehmet brings maturity and acumen to companies that are focused on being data driven, repeatable, and scalable. He has a proven track record and a mindset on how to win!”
Mehmet Shah’s appointment strengthens an already accomplished executive team at Wisedocs. Alongside recent senior leadership additions, including Itay Mishan as Chief Technology Officer, and Jocelyn Brown as Senior Vice President of Customer Success, our expanding leadership team is positioned to drive innovation, deliver exceptional customer value, and change the claims document management process through AI-powered solutions.
“What excites me most about Wisedocs is the human impact. By combining modern technology with expert human oversight, Wisedocs helps claims teams resolve claims faster, delivering better outcomes at the moments claimants need support most.” - Mehmet Shah, Wisedocs Chief Financial Officer
As we look ahead, Wisedocs is well-positioned to accelerate growth, enhance our platform capabilities, and deliver even greater value to customers navigating the complexities of claims document processing. With Mehmet Shah guiding our financial strategy, we’re building the infrastructure and discipline needed to achieve our vision of improving the claims management industry through innovative solutions.
