The AI-Empowered IME
From Records to Defensible Report
AI is already transforming medicolegal work — but much of what is marketed to physicians is either overhyped or quietly risky. The evaluators and organizations thriving right now are not replacing expertise with AI. They are using it as a force multiplier on a foundation rigorous enough to withstand cross-examination.
Join Christopher R. Brigham, MD, Editor of the AMA Guides, and Denys Linkov, Head of Machine Learning at Wisedocs, for a candid, demonstration-driven session on what AI can genuinely deliver in independent medical evaluation today — and where human judgment remains non-negotiable.
You'll see and learn:
- What AI can and can't do reliably in medical record analysis — and why large language models alone fall short where accuracy, transparency, and defensibility are paramount
- A look at the AI-enabled IME workflow: from a structured Wisedocs record summary and chronology, through an AI-based patient interview with Smart Medical History (SmartMedHx), to physician-supervised analysis and report drafting
- How AI-based interviews strengthen the evaluation — adaptive, structured patient interviews conducted before the encounter give the evaluator a richer, more consistent history
- How integrating multiple data streams — record summaries, interview data, referral materials, and prior reports — produces evaluations that are faster and better supported
- Practical implementation guidance: where AI delivers immediate value, the most common mistakes, and the governance and quality controls every practice needs
Whether you perform evaluations, manage an IME organization, or rely on medicolegal reports professionally, you'll leave with a concrete framework for adopting AI responsibly — and a clear-eyed view of what's real versus what's hype. Registration is free. The recording will be available only to registrants.
