Wisedocs’ Brain Power: Meet Olivia Ragosnig, QA Lead

At Wisedocs, we’re building a stellar team and we’re proud to introduce our team members over time through our monthly Wisedocs’ Brain Power series. Recently, we introduced you to Rajiv Abraham, our Lead Machine Learning Engineer. Today, we’ll meet Olivia Ragosnig, one of our Quality Assurance (QA) Leads at Wisedocs. 

An interest in healthcare from the start

Olivia has always been interested in the healthcare industry. She has a keen interest in using data and technology to improve the quality of healthcare for individuals. She completed her undergraduate in Health Sciences because she knew it was the only field for her.

Outside of work, Olivia is an animal enthusiast – she loves national geographic and looks forward to shark week every year.

“I’m currently taking the lead on creating Wisedocs knowledge base articles. I’m excited for the articles to be released because the team and I worked really hard on them. I think it will provide a lot of value to our clients and improve their experience using our software.”

Tell us about your career, Olivia. What brought you to Wisedocs and what was your career journey like?

“As a new grad out of university, I came across a job posting for a Medical Documentation Specialist at Wisedocs. I applied and got the job! 

Olivia joined Wisedocs in June 2020. “When I started at Wisedocs, they were in their early startup stage, and I was able to learn and grow as the company expanded. I got promoted to QA lead and that’s what I've been doing ever since. Wisedocs took a chance on me as a new grad, and I’m so happy they did!”

What gets you excited about working at Wisedocs?

“Working for start-ups, you get to be involved in projects you probably wouldn’t have exposure to at a larger company. You have to be ready to adapt to the changing environment and think quickly on your feet. This allows me to wear many hats which is great for both personal and professional growth.”

Share with us the day-to-day of Wisedocs' QA Lead

“The first thing I do every morning is check the pipeline to make sure client files are processing smoothly – this helps me resolve issues in a  timely manner.”

The day-to-day of a quality assurance lead at an artificial intelligence insurtech company entails: 

• Coaching, interviewing and onboarding new team members, and providing feedback to the QA team.

• Providing technical and product support, contributing to software training and machine learning procedures.
• Comparing data with source documents to detect technical and clinical errors. 

• Documenting, updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Help Guides and Training Materials to assist in the implementation of process improvement projects.  

What has been your proudest accomplishment at Wisedocs?
