Welcome to another edition of our Wisedocs Brain Power series, where we highlight the incredible people who make our company what it is. This time, we’re excited to introduce Claire Kabath, one of our dedicated Customer Support Specialists. Claire brings a rare mix of empathy, curiosity, and care to every interaction, helping our customers feel supported from the moment they reach out.
With a background in animal medicine and human immunology, Claire has always been drawn to work that improves lives through dedication and precision. That same passion now shines through in her role at Wisedocs, where she helps shape a claims process that feels smoother and more human for everyone involved. As we reflect on our Great Place to Work® Best Places to Work for Startups recognition, Claire’s story is a reminder of the people-first culture that drives everything we do.
“I’ve always had a love for animals. After graduating college with my bachelor’s degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences, I worked in animal medicine and human immunology. When I discovered Wisedocs, I was looking for a change of pace that had flexible working options while still utilizing my knowledge and love of medicine. I’ve never had a job where my plethora of animals could make a Zoom appearance! I’m so glad I found such an amazing company with such a positive, inclusive environment despite being so far away!”
“While my previous positions were with larger organizations, I fell in love with the tech and startup world. Working in this world keeps me on my toes and constantly opens doors for the next big thing. In animal medicine, I had to worry about endless red tape to get things done. Combining the fast-moving world of tech with the evolving field of medicine was the perfect fit for me. The opportunities are limitless!”
Many professionals, like Claire, are drawn to startups for their creativity and flexibility. The digital health space is growing quickly, as U.S. startups raised $10.1 billion across 497 deals in 2024, including $2.8 billion in AI-powered health technology the year before. This focus on using innovation to keep care moving faster and feeling simpler is shaping the future of healthcare, and it is exactly the kind of progress that inspires Claire in her role at Wisedocs.
“I’m so excited to see Wisedocs continue to blossom in the AI and MedLegal community! Every month, we see changes and projects that I didn’t even know could exist. A challenge I enjoy facing is adapting to constant change and understanding how it impacts Wisedocs. Technology and medicine are always evolving, so we have to stay informed and continue to meet our clients’ needs.”
Claire’s excitement shows what Wisedocs is all about, forward thinking, growth, and compassion at its core. As we expand our AI-powered solutions, our team brings both skill and thoughtfulness to connecting automation with human care. The U.S. AI in healthcare market reached about $13.26 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow to $18.07 billion in 2025, showing strong momentum ahead. AI is becoming part of everyday healthcare, enabling claims teams to turn manual tasks into faster, efficient and accurate processes.
“I start my day checking our company inbox and new messaging system for any late-night or urgent requests so our customers can start the day with everything they need. I coordinate with teammates in different time zones, respond to customer inquiries, and monitor data trends. Some days include meetings to solve problems or improve processes. I have also taken on additional responsibilities of partnering with state fund clients on a one-on-one basis to support all their claim document processing needs at the enterprise level."
“An unexpected perk is getting to deliver good news to our customers about resolving their inquiries. I love being able to spread helpful information and acknowledge the teamwork that goes into helping a customer. Even on tough days, finding the strength to show up as your best self is what makes this work so meaningful. Our customers count on us, and being there for them to help them reach their goals reminds us why what we do really matters.”
Her honesty captures the essence of what customer service really means. It is about showing up rooted in sensitivity, consistency, and genuine concern, even on the hard days. Across the U.S., companies lose around $75 billion every year because of poor customer service, which shows how much people value being treated with kindness and respect. Within our organization, that kind of care is part of who we are. Our team believes each conversation is a chance to make someone’s day a little easier.
“Wisedocs’ Customer Service is simply stellar. I’ve had the pleasure of being able to really delve into customer success and help customers on a personable level. At Wisedocs, this is something we all strive for. A customer’s inquiry isn’t just a task to check off of a list, it’s an opportunity to build a relationship with that customer and grow together.”
What Claire said truly sums up what defines Wisedocs. It’s a team that genuinely values the work we do and the individuals we’re empowering. These days, approximately 78% of customer service reps say clients expect a more personal touch, and it’s true. Everyone wants to feel understood, not just helped. That’s something Wisedocs does really well, using understanding to build real connections in all conversations. Claire embodies the blend of heart, openness, and teamwork that shapes customer relationships.
“There was a specific instance I recall in which I was able to help a customer receive an urgent case ahead of schedule. It ended up making a big difference for the customer and claimant alike and it’s reassuring to see our business in action from every position!”
At Wisedocs, we enable review times up to 80% faster, which translates to significantly quicker case resolutions and better outcomes for claimants. Seeing that kind of real-world impact, from the platform’s speed to the human support behind it, is incredibly rewarding. It’s moments like these that remind us all at Wisedocs how every role contributes to helping people get the answers and outcomes they need, faster.
On the heels of being named one of the Great Place to Work®, it’s a good reminder that recognition like this comes from the people behind it. It’s built by those who authentically take pride in what they do and care to make a difference, just like Claire.
