Jenna Earnshaw, Wisedocs’ current Co-Founder and Director of Revenue is expanding her role on the leadership team to Chief Operating Officer (COO). The strategic move is a long time coming, according to Wisedocs’ Founder and CEO, Connor Atchison, as Jenna has been involved with the company since its inception. With full support from the Board of Directors, investors, advisors, and leadership team, Jenna takes the official title of COO for her on-going role managing the day-to-day operations.

Founder support for Earnshaw’s lead as COO of Wisedocs

Connor Atchison shares that he has always embraced the idea of Earnshaw advancing officially to the role. As Jenna has played witness to Atchison’s complicated beginnings with the claims system, as he attempted to navigate the slow and arduous process personally, Jenna saw Connor’s first-hand experience lead to a solution for the medical records ecosystem.

“Jenna has been instrumental in bringing Wisedocs to life from its earliest stages, leading our revenue growth in a way that solidifies Wisedocs as a leader in the market,” says Connor Atchison, Founder and CEO of Wisedocs. “Jenna has been steering charges across human resources, investor liaisons, go-to-market, and product, making her the ideal candidate for Chief Operating Officer. As my long-standing business partner, her recognition as late-stage cofounder is well deserved. I have no doubt she will continue to elevate the company as we grow.”

In the COO role, Jenna will leverage her experience building companies, advising startups, and angel investing to push Wisedocs to the next growth stage, with a particular focus in daily operations of the company and supporting the revenue operations portion of the business.

“I am so passionate about everything we are building here and feel lucky to have high exposure to different areas of the business,” Jenna states. “In particular, I am looking forward to having a larger role in setting the vision for the future of Wisedocs and being more involved in ensuring we are excelling as a great place to work for our employees.”

Board support for Earnshaw’s lead as COO of Wisedocs

A Wisedocs supporter from the earliest days, advising, investing and supporting the business even before Wisedocs was officially launched in 2021, Jenna has been looking forward to taking on everything that comes with the role. The Board of Directors also supports the move.

“Jenna has been a formidable part of Wisedocs’ scalability since the beginning. Her involvement has skyrocketed the company’s growth and brought in a valuable perspective on the go-to-market and revenue side of the business,” states Matt Cohen, Founder and Managing Partner of Ripple Ventures, which led Wisedocs' seed round in May 2022. “Wisedocs’ board, advisory, and leadership teams are proud to support Jenna in her formal move to Chief Operations Officer, though her role at the company certainly reflected those activities long before this official announcement.”

From early entrepreneur to claiming a stake in the future of the insurance industry

“Connor and I always discussed what it would mean to work with each other full-time, but it took until 2021 for everything to line up,” Earnshaw says. “I needed to be able to join in a meaningful way that would have the highest impact on the business.”

Impacting businesses is what Jenna does—and she has plenty of experience doing so. Born and raised in London, England, Jenna comes by her entrepreneurial mindset honestly. Her mother started a video market research company in the late 1980s, running a ‘one woman show’ in an industry dominated by men. Her dad is also an entrepreneur  (“he’s still building pitch decks into his 60s!”), so it’s no surprise that she’s inclined to think outside of the box.

“I was always obsessed with executing on ideas, and it took me a few years to realize what that meant,” she adds. “I was lucky enough to participate in The Next Big Thing Incubator in 2015, and that solidified the idea that my purpose in life is to be involved in building on ideas, creating, and supporting those that want the same.”

Keynoting at Collision Conference’s Growth Summit Stage in June 2023, Jenna will speak to the shift and impact Wisedocs has had by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the workflows and processes of the insurance, legal, and medical sectors. Wisedocs’ scale will continue alongside these industries and the growth trajectory is on track to continue widespread North American impact. This COO announcement comes on the heels of an upcoming platform launch announcement that the Wisedocs team have been eagerly awaiting to take to the open market officially.

As for Wisedocs, Jenna is ready to jump into her new role and Claim a Stake in the Future of Insurance. As COO, she will spend more of her expertise creating a positive company culture, continuing to support the industry-disrupting narrative of AI for long-standing industries, and leveraging her talents to scale Wisedocs.
